Report on the Steel Club of Victoria for July 23, 2023:
We had a very unusual meeting yesterday. First of all, we had no drums. Then, about halfway through the 2nd set, lightning hit the transformer and knocked out electricity for the whole area. But, we had a good turnout of steels: Roy Glaze, Ken Bulsterbaum, Tim Marlin, Ronnie Walling, and a surprise visit from Wyatt Aleman and parents, J.R. And Cindy. Wyatt played his double-neck Gibson non-pedal steel.
John L. Sullivan and Larry Schoppe split the bass duties. We also welcomed newcomer Sean Christiansen, who played guitar and brought his Groetch lap steel.
Thanks to Paul for the venue and all who brought snacks.
