I'm wanting to start my journey in pedal steel and am having a hard time finding something inexpensive that is set up for E9. My budget is right around 1500 to 2500. I have a lap steel with 3 benders and am ready to make the jump to pedal steel. I'm really looking for a GFI student model or Mullen Discovery because both of the lead times for a new guitar are 3-7 months out and I want to learn as soon as possible. I'd like something that's inexpensive, but still plays really nice so I can play comfortably for years. If anyone has any suggestions for other starter guitars, please let me know.
Thank you so much,
Noah Fickel
If you'd like to get to know me as a player a little better, here's a link to where you can find me. Cheers!
