Looked like a fair deal. I did not need it and figured it would not last long.

You know why? This guitar was apparently damaged en route to a player in Rhode Island who originally bought it on Ebay about a month ago. I emailed him to congratulate him, and he replied by letting me know it was broken up on its way to him, and he got reimbursed completely by the shipping company. He didn't even get to see the guitar.

I'm not sure how it miraculously got fixed between then and now. Hopefully a forum member didn't get burned. This guitar was originally listed for $1,299 when it first sold.

Thanks for this info Chris. I will email the buyer and give him a heads up and tell him he needs to check it out. Maybe we can help him avoid a problem.

I don't say it enough.......but this form is great. You guys are on the look out. Thanks for emailing me Bill.

I emailed her to ask her if this is the guitar that had been damaged in some way. I haven't heard back yet and I don't see any phone numbers.

I did see that it sold last month but I checked her feedback beforehand and there wasn't anything about a bad deal or a problem with this guitar. Her feed back is fine. So it seems unlikely that she would do something like resell a broken guitar without disclosing the information, but you never know. But, she did drop the price.

I'm not sure how the original buyer got paid for the guitar by the shipper but then sent it back to her so that she could sell it again?

I hope it turns out OK. At least I have some skills and friends that can make some repairs for me if it gets down to that. Chris , do you have the contact info for the guy that had the problem?

Again, Thanks for the heads up. At least I was able to find out about it and start investigating.

Steve

Steve--Chris says that the RI buyer never saw the guitar. Sounds like the something happened on the road or at the depot and they contacted him and said "ooops".

After about ten emails to this Pam woman about the sho bud she finally just refunded the money. The problem is that I didn't ask for a refund, I asked what was wrong with the guitar, that's it. I did hear from the prior buyer and he has no idea what is wrong with the guitar becuase he just got a refund as well with a note saying that something went wrong in shipping.

I'm not thappy. I am glad that I got the money back but I wanted the guitar. I thought that maybe just the case was broken or something like that.

I think she is a crook. She never responded to my questions at all. I wasn't accusing her of anything or being mean I just wanted to know what was wrong before she she shipped it. I think she knew that she got caught so she refunded to try to end it. Ebay says that isn't the right thing to do.

Expect to see this guitar on ebay again. I turned her in to paypal for fraud and I will do ebay on the 28th.

Steve
