Evans FET 500 LV Speaker Impedence

Post by Lee Rider »

I have a 1982 Evans FET 500 LV, serial number 009, that does not have the original cabinet and no indication of speaker impedence or wattage. Seems like quiet a few Forumites are well versed in the Evans amps. Want to make sure the speaker the right one.

Any info greatly apprecaited!

Thanks

You can run a 4 or 8 ohm speaker in the amp. 4 ohm will give you 200 watts. If you’re running an extension cabinet both need to be 8 ohms for a 4 ohm load. One of the best steel amps ever built!
