This an early model Rains SD-10 4x5 but it has all the Gary Carpenter upgrades to bring it up to the specs of the latest models he built including the short pedal cross shafts, updated bushings and rubber posts behind the shafts. It’s in Day setup with the Franklin change at the 4th pedal position. When I bought the guitar it did not have the 10th string lower on the Franklin so I added a Non- Rains bell crank to have it. It has some light scratches on the formica but nothing very noticeable and the guitar and case are in very good condition. $3000 plus shipping to the lower 48 only. No trades please. PayPal is ok if the buyer pays the 3% fee. I have gigs in the Dallas area the next three weekends if someone from that area is interested in it!

Hi David, Boy that Royal Blue jumps out and grabs you. What a Beautiful Guitar. And I am sure that it plays and sounds like a Rains. They are a GREAT guitar. I have had a few of these. Loved all of them. The Buyer will enjoy this for years to come.
Good Luck on your sale, it is priced right. Your fellow Okie friend, J.R. Rose

Great to hear from you J.R. I don’t remember seeing you at the Dallas steel show this year. It is a great guitar but I’m trying to thin my herd a little bit. If someone don’t take it soon I’m going to pull it and keep it as my back sure appreciates it over my D-10’s!

Hey David, I was their and plan to be their this coming year.
At 82 it is just hard to travel much anymore. But if the Good Lord so sees it I will be their again. Look forward to seeing you. J.R.
