I'm pretty certain it's E6...E B E G# C# E low to high

Ah, That explains some of those pretty chord voicings you were getting. Are those the same E6 string intervals that most Sacred Steelers use? Really nice. Gonna have to play around with it some!

Not sure…most of the Sacred players I know play primarily 8-string, or pedal steel. The intervallic relationships are very similar in different 6th chord tunings though, just occurring on different strings.
