Value of an Old MSA Classic Single Neck 12-String?

Post by Bob Roden »

Hello --

I am fixing to part with a pedal steel I have owned since 1975, when I bought it used at a music store in Reno. Just wondering if anyone can give me a rough idea of its current value.

It is an MSA, single neck, 12 strings, 3 pedals, 4 knee levers. Grover tuning gears. It is in decent used condition, everything works, etc. Red color, sort of an inlay-looking design trim.

I played it on the road for three years, and it has mostly sat in its case since 1979.

Thanks!

I would guess somewhere between $2000 and $2500. That is, if everything works well...

That'll make someone a good, solid lifetime steel.

Thanks Chris. I can kind of attest to that, since I've had it for 48 years!

I got 2500 for mine a few months back. It was 5 and 4.not nearly as pretty as that one. It was a formica guitar.
