Counterpoint examples

Post by Dan Neave »

Hi community,

Dan Neave here from Australia hope your well.
I am wondering if any members can point me in the direction of some pedal steel recordings that feature counterpoint examples. I’ve only really heard Paul Franklins few examples on his MM course.
Also if you have any favourite counterpoint licks you would like
to share would be appreciated. I would imagine counterpoint example work best over melodies but any examples would be appreciated.

Regards,

Dan

Hey there,

In this post:

https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=3142939

Bernie Watruba talks about a pack of counterpoints he sells. I bought them from him and can't recommend them highly enough. As far as recordings I'm not sure, but the notes he has are a treasure trove. Saved me 10 years of exploring on my own.

edit: I think that's an old thread. I think he actually has more for sale now. PM him and find out!
