Setlists for 2023

Post by Tom Gorr »

I'm slowly returning back to the music scene after the Covid lockdown hiatus. Most of my prior background was in event bands covering mostly top 40 rock standards with perhaps 20% country.

I have a few music pals looking forward to a fresh new band that is more like 50-75% country focussing on the 20-35 age demographic.

Was curious what the setlists are looking like for events like Rodeo dances these days. What songs are getting the best positive audience feedback? Both a male and female vocalist are involved.

Here's some pretty common ones here in New Mexico - though maybe it leans towards a slightly older crowd. I've been pretty surprised to see how popular the 90s stuff is with the kids though. Most of these are done in multiple bands I sit in with. Lots of requests for Strait, Jackson, Dwight and some for Merle, Cash, Waylon and Jones still :)
