String gauge chart

Post by Carl Gallagher »

I am looking to change tuning on my lap steel from a c6 to a G dobro tuning. I used to have a link that showed the various gauges for different tunings, cant find it. Does anybody have a link or can tell me what gauge I would need? 22 1/2" scale length.Thanks.

I just use a string tension calculator and aim for 25-30 lbs per string on a square neck.
