Sho~Bud professional for sale $2500
Hey folks! It’s first time selling a steel on here!
I’ve really gotten the bug for a sho~bud fingertip or permanent lately.
So I’m selling this great steel to help w funds for when I do find one!
It’s got some scuffs on the finish but boy howdy does it play good….
Just got cleaned up and has original pick ups on it!
Rack and barrel, 8X4 emmons set up.
Plays like new! It comes with a case that’s a little ragged and roughed up but does the job.
I got it for 1900, but after cleaning it up and getting it working good I was hoping to get 2500.00 out of it.
(Or trades for a fingertip or permanent)
Thanks for looking!

Mike, you are completely correct. I’ve owned that that professional for about a year now and don’t get me wrong it’s a great axe! But I’ve always wanted a fingertip/ and or perm.Mike DiAlesandro wrote:Erv, maybe Brady prefers the tone of a Fingertip or Permanent as opposed to a Professional?Erv Niehaus wrote:Why would you want to trade down?

I hear ya erv, I know they can be finicky but I’ve owned a few different guitars now and a few of them have lacked personality. Just haven’t heard fingertip or permanent that didn’t have out of this world tone. So I figure I’d find out for myself, who knows maybe there is one that keeps tune haha.Erv Niehaus wrote:Tone maybe one thing but my first pedal steel was a fingertip and if you like to tune between every number, that's the guitar for you.

I had no tuning issues?
Not sure what some here said about fingertip tuning?
I don't have a Sho~Bud now, but I've had quite a few over the years, S-10's, SD-10 Conversions, Cross Over, D-10's and my favorite was the 12 string SD-12 Fingertip.
It was restored and re-built by Bob Muller and was fabulous.
I had no tuning issues ever with that one? Once all set up it held the tuning well.
Was absolutely the best sounding Bud I ever owned.
It was originally a D-12, but with several changes made during the restoration it was a great steel.
Good luck with your sale and finding that Fingertip or Permanent.

Andy that’s a beautiful steel! I bet it sounded like butter!
I have luckily found a permanent I’m going to buy, so I’m the meantime just trying to get this professional to a good home!
