Is a semi pro pedal steel player qualified to teach?

I think ability to teach is just as important as ability to play. some of the best players in the world are not necessarily good teachers

As we say in nursing: "see one, do one, teach one." If you know something they don't you can teach them. If they are giving you money, they'll stop when you aren't helping them enough.
