So, once again my band, The Hill Country Truckers will be opening for Whitey Morgan and The 78s, on Sunday April 30th, at Goldfield's in Roseville, CA.
The last 2 gigs we did with Whitey and his band were fantastic... really looking forward to doing it again.

Just been informed that this Roseville performance is now also sold out. I'm hoping some of my Sacramento forumites can make the show. If you do, be sure to come up and say "Howdy!"

I believe Whitey's current PSG player is a guy who goes by the name of Johnny "Up" Shadid. I know he has some instructional videos on You Tube.
I'll post an update here on the forum after our concert this Sunday.

So, the event came off without a hitch last night, in Roseville, CA.
What fun to play to a packed house of folks who actually knew what a pedal steel guitar was
Whitey and the 78s were just amazing, such great musicianship.... and on pedal steel he had Johnny "Up" Shadid... playing a SD-10 3/5 Rittenberry, and using mostly Strymon FX pedals... through a Fender Twin. New to me was Joey Spina (on lead guitar), and Whitey both using brand news "Little Walter" amps and 1-15 cabs... great sound!
Our band will be opening for them again on June 2nd, in the Fresno, CA area... and I'll post that event as it gets closer.

Just got a few pix, and here's one of my band, and Whitey's Little Walter amps. Also, just behind me is my new Quilter tt-15 amp... love this amp!
