Greg Liesz was a major performer last night on the Gershwin Awards all star show honoring Joni Mitchell.

That was a wonderful show! Great performances all around, with very tasteful steel by Greg on 4 or 5 tunes.

With 0 camera time. He was a major part of the arrangement on a song, but never showed him at all. Other than that, anything Joni is wonderful. A treasure.

If you watch James Taylor, there was a quite a bit of face time for Greg.

That was an exquisite band! And the broadcast sound was some of the best I have ever heard. The Fazioli piano sounded incredibly crisp and beautiful.

I really enjoyed watching Cyndi Lauper conduct the ensemble when she had her feature. Graham Nash was fantastic as well as everyone else. A memorable evening.
