In reading up on the Quilter TT12 combo (yeah, I just bought one), it was mentioned that it would be great if the thumbscrews for the retaining plate were captive. This probably isn't a big enough issue to be addressed by Quilter. However, for $1.50, you can get e clips that will hold the thumbscrews captive. Takes less than two minutes to install and no chasing or losing the thumbscrews!

When I first got mine I took the amp out and set it on top of the speaker cabinet. That turned into a hassle and extra time at packing up time. I now leave it in the amp cabinet and eliminate that.

Hmmmmmm, Roger I think you may have hit on something...
this weekend I checked my mounting screws on my Quilter TT-15... and they had loosened somewhat.

Nice tip!

I find the screws will loosen just sitting. As previously stated I don't take the amp out and the screws will still loosen slightly. I also bought slightly longer screws when I first got it (when I was taking it out) as the original screws were hard to start because of length. I'll have to research the longer screws as I bought them on Amazon a couple years ago.

Update: Here is the longer screws on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A9NI2AI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Same here. I've played a lot of gigs with my TT-15 and TT-12 and I only removed the head one time. It's a lot easier to leave it in the block dock.
