This a new release from a dear friend of mine, Sheila Bommakanti aka Cober. This is her first pedal steel record and I'm so happy to have her in the Sierra family!

Nice work Sheila!
I found "First Light" particularly appealing. To me, it seemed very peaceful but still with motion and fluidity.
Your steel playing on "Mi Alma" sounds so full and luxurious! It seems like one could reach out and touch it.
Congratulations on your new release

I'm so proud of Sheila! I had here in for a few live lessons, right before the Covid lockdown. She came in as an already experienced and accomplished musician, and took to pedal steel instantly. Outstanding music from such a new player!

Excellent work! (Excellent steel, Ross.)
So good to hear the instrument being explored rather than treated as a 'lick machine'.
Lovely music!
