6-string pickup replacement

Post by Jeffrey Soble »

I acquired this Granada recently. They were made by the same company that made Jedson, the Fender Deluxe 6-string clone. The pickups are original so needless to say they’re dead. I’m considering 2 options and need some help with where to find the right parts for either.

1. Replace with 1 “soap bar” single coil or a humbucker, in which case I’d need to replace the plate. Does anyone know where I could find one?

2. Replace with 2 single coils and possible remove the blend-pot. If I do that, I’d like to find pups as close to what would be in the old Fenders to get the original 6-string Stringmaster sound.

Can anyone help with some suggestions?

Thanks!

They look like the pick ups Fender Mustangs have, if you're looking for a quicker and/or temporary fix.

Talk to Jerry Sentell. Quick turn around. Excellent work. He can repair what you have or probably has what you need in stock.....

Another recommendation for Chris & Jerry Sentell. In addition to numerous new custom pickups, they have rewound both Rickenbacker and Gibson pickups for me, and each and every one of them has been excellent.
