If you could only keep either the TT12 or the TT15, which would it be?

I have the Mach III head and use a Stereo Steel single cab with a TT-15 speaker. The second channel sounds very nice for guitar even with the 15" speaker.

I love mine, especially when it’s time to load the car for a gig! :)

I bet it's even better to load when the gig is over!
If you have a heavy amp, you are wanting a good roadie!

Quilters

Post by Don Mogle »

Do you have any reservations about the long-term reliability of these Quilters?

Peavey amps have stood the test of time and are legendary for taking a beating while still working magnificently. However, they can be brutally heavy, so I totally understand the Quilters' appeal.

For the record, I might look out for a nice used Quilter Overdrive 200 (made in the USA) or TB 202 head...

I have two Aviator 8s(my primary amp. Great even with full band), an Aviator head, Toneblock 202, Interblock 45 and two Microblock 45s. Just in case… So, yeah- I get it,🤠😉! I have a TT-12 cab and just bought a used Frontliner 2x8” cab. It sounds incredible. I’ve pretty much abandoned the 15” speaker idea but have a nice Webb 15” with a JBL. Just in case. 😎.

I have an Eminence TT-12 in a Greg's Pro Audio cab:

that I sometimes power up with this old PV Session 400 head:

Might be the rare case of the amp head weighing more than the speaker cab, but it sounds real good to my decrepit old ears. I've used the combo platter for both pedal steel and bass guitars.

I also have the cab set up with a Quilter Microblock 45 for emergencies or as a stand-alone unit for small rooms:

Color me another happy Double-T 12 user.
