Those older Mavericks are nice light weight steels.
Would not be too hard to rig up some knee levers.

I just heard Herb Steiner play this model maverick at the texas steel show, in the non pedal room without the pedals as a non pedal consol steel. It sounded fantastic. Anyone looking for a straight steel, you won't find a sweeter sounding one than the sho-bud mavericks with the gumby headstocks.
