Roger,

It might be tough selling it all as a package.

It's my belief (and this will be debatable until the cows come home) that if you put your items on ebay (maybe try them together, but I still think separate would be best), you will get what the market will pay, meaning what they're worth is what price you end up getting. You could always have a minimum bid for each item, refusing to sell for less than what you absolutely need to get.

What do I know, though?

I agree with Al. Package deals usually only sell well to people starting out. Most buyers here might already have 2 out of the 3 items you're selling. Sell them individually for the quickest sales.

It is a resonable price, but as stated above, it is hard a sell a package deal.

My 2 cents:
List the Williams for 1800.00 plus shipping.

The Nashville 325.00 plus shipping.

The Hilton 175.00 plus shipping.

I don't mean to offend you in any way. Just what I would do.

By the way, shoot me some pics of your equipment, and I'll post them for you if you want.

Agreed - FWIW package deals are never a good thing for the seller in any guitar market. Buyers ALWAYS assume they will get a heavily-discounted price based on the "package".

Break them up - but I'd still try the forum first, and making sure to make a donation when a sale is made. The forum isn't supported by eBay sales (unless someone just wants to do it out of kindness), but it's a good second choice and a huge market. And my guess is less than 1/3 of the steel players on the planet participate on the forum, and you'd have a chance of reaching those other folks via eBay.

There's not really a reason you couldn't do both at the same time.

Agreed. I have had minimal success selling my prime 2004 Ford Harley-Davidson 150 pickup (10,000 miles) because it was a package deal with a 1999 Recreational Trailor....even though it was a fair selling price.

I need to acknowledge that I do not have a degree in Marketing.

Gene-I just downloaded your Christmas songs. You do an excellent job on them. Of course, Both great, but I , you know me, favor the jazzy C6 one.

I have The Christmas Song and Winterland on a cassette tape, and in my computer. I wish I knew how to upload it to my Website. Soneone must know an easy way to do it.I sure would appreciate some advice on that...al Image

Al my friend, I'm just a hacker with minimal computer knowledge, but, I make changes to my site as follows:

If you have a website design program on your computer, just add your songs to your website file copy.....then republish the entire changed website page to your server. Then when you go to your website the changes will be displayed.

If you do not have a website design program on your computer, the person who designed your site must make the changes.

Bill Moore did most of my Website, My granddaghter's husband, he is a computer graduate,in San Diego set up the skeleton pages, etc. Bill filled it in from the pics and text I emailed him.

Al my friend, the song is merely a file just as any other file (i.e. pictures, html...etc...) If you upload the file to your website as you would any other file, then all you have to do is provide the link and folks can click on it and be able to enjoy your fine music. Hope this has helped, see you in the chat room Image

After re-reading your post Al, I realized what you were asking and I now understand that you are unable to upload the file. If you would email them to me, I'd be honored to host those files for you, so that others may be able to enjoy your playing. And I apologize for what some may consider a hijack of this post. I am merely trying to help a friend.
[This message was edited by Don Poland on 13 December 2006 at 05:39 AM.]
