Nice lacquer Dan! Just curious...why did you split the Franklin change? I bet that thing has some nice tone.

Kyle,

I split the Franklin for a couple of reasons. First, I already had the sixth string lower as a separate lever and wanted to keep it that was since I use it against the fifth string quite often. Secondly, having very little feel for how the Franklin pedal is actually used, I went with the latest trend on, which, from a search of the forum, seemed to be splitting it this way.

I'm still making my mind up about the copedent. Having a hard time getting used to the idea of the vertical pedal (never had one before).

That is a beautiful steel. I have an all lacquer Mullen that I am very much in love with, but Ohhh the temptation! Never played one though? They are beautiful guitars and I'm sure extremely well made. I was told that Jerry really knows what he is doing by Tom Brumley and that is a pretty good endorsement. I would have to set one up side by side however in order to ever think of parting with mine. If anyone is ever in Indiana, let me know.

Dale,

how about a pic or two of your Mullen?

I can't really compare the Fessenden to much: a Carter Starter I had for a month or two and the Dekley I've been playing for the past year and a half. Before that was a sho-bud about 25 years ago and assorted other guitars.
