New Fessy!!
I picked up my new Fessy yesterday from Jerry Fessenden. WOW!! Not only is the guitar beautiful and extremely comfortable to play, it has so much glorious tone that it almost makes me sound good! It is a S-10 4x5 sunburst lacquer (see pics below). Jerry put tunable splits on all ten strings. The copedant is alos below.
Having only played the guitar for about half an hour at Jerry's house yesterday morning, I hauled it to a gig last night and let it rip. I can’t say enough about the sound of this guitar! I noticed that I didn't need to play as loud because the sound was so clear and each string so distinct that it cut through easily. It also says something for ease of playability that I could play a four-set gig after only sitting at the guitar once before. I even got to enjoy the guitar on the breaks last night because I could sit and look at it!!
Many thanks to Jerry for such a fine job. Kudos also to Mark Giles for the lacquer finish.
I'm not settled completely on the fourth (which forms a split "franklin" with LKR) pedal and veritcal kneee lever yet.

Jay,
I have a true-tone on mine. Personally, I like the single coil sound on all instruments: what's life without a little hum, anyway?

Hey Dan: I agree, your new fessy is brilliant and beautiful.Where is this Jerry located? Have heard of this brand of guitar but have never seen one, other than a " PIC ".I'm over here in Northern N.Y. I once bought a sierra from a music store out-side of Boston. I was attending a seminar with Jeff Newman; one of the finest steel guitar players; now with the good lord. I am a new member of the Forum. Thanx for your info. Bernie

I was selling it,my business goes up and down and sometimes I have to sell some of my stuff to get the cash, but mostly I can just pawn guitar to get some cash fast and then pick it up.
This is a very nice guitar and has a great tone,I was actually suprised nobody bought it (wich I`m glad for, now)
color is awesome,I have people asking me "do you still have your purple steel" all the time, they like it

Thanks for all the nice comments folks. I am liking the Fessy more every day, although I have had woefully little time to play it this week; crazy time of year in my business.
I even got underneath and changed the copedent slightly (don't tell Jerry!!). Very easy to do on this guitar. I think I have the knees adhusted just about where I want them. It was already very comfortable, but now it is starting to fit me like a glove.
