Looking for options for jams

Post by George Biner »

Need ideas on how to do jams -- no copies of Band in a Box are around, and it's a bit pricey to buy just for a jam -- anybody out there doing jams without BIAB? Thanks for all ideas.

https://www.jamzone.com/ I tried this and it works really well but is a subscription. If it has the songs you want to play it is pretty good.

Thanks, Doug.

Clarification -- I'm talking about a group jam with 10-12 players taking turns in a room.

Find a good bass player that knows good songs. He should know a good drummer. Rhythm guitarist or keyboardist would be nice but mainly need bass and drums.

iRealPro is another great one... for 15 bucks it includes practice tracks, as well as songs that others have uploaded to their platform. AND, if you don't like any of that, everything there is editable, or you can start from scratch and right your own "Jam Track". Typically only three instruments, Piano/Bass/Drums, but the styles are just about endless.

The last few things I've posted on SGF were recorded to iReal tracks that I mixed and embellished in my DAW.
