Thanks Diane & Mike but that is not it. Mid 70's to mid 80's. I can see his face and know the name well but at 82 I just can't get it. I played Bass at a gig with him at the OLD TAYLOR INN in Poteau, Ok mid 70's which was a Tribute to Bob Wills who played their a lot in years gone by and later at some kind of gig in Tulsa. At this age I sometimes can't remember my name. J.R.

Your welcome JR. Here is just a brief from his Obituary. He died in 2006.
At 17 was performing with Hank Thompson. In 1956 he joined the Ray Price band and contributed his talents to the #1 hit song "Crazy Arms." From 1962 through 1967 he performed with Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys. He rejoined Ray Price for a time and then from 1976 through 1980 he toured and performed with Mel Tillis.
He also played a lot with Bob White when Bob had the Cross Roads Club. He could hammer out a good four four shuffle and western swing.

I thought Tommy Jackson was the fiddler on the original 1956 cut of Crazy Arms?Joe Finley wrote:Your welcome JR. Here is just a brief from his Obituary. He died in 2006.
