She's clean as a whistle and plays and sounds great! The only place on it, is the rear lip near the player where someone dropped the bar on the wood and has a few tiny bar dings. Other than that she is a perfect steel. I'll put her up against any new single neck 10 stringer. If you like a Wood body tone like the Sho-Bud sound or other similar type Steel Guitar this is what your looking for. A similar newer model Steel Guitar would go for around $4,000 to $5,000 range. Plus you would have to order and wait for one, anywhere from 6 months to 1 to 1 1/2 years.

Yes Terry Winter, it is in excellent shape for its age. A lot of people are looking for a single neck 10 stringer. This has everything in it proper place, tuning, tone, the case and all. It has been babied and pampered. Very little playing and proper care. I have other Steel Guitars and bought it for resale. It'll go to a good home, or I will hang on to it. Thanks for your comment! Merry Christmas to you and yours from Missouri!

This Great Steel Guitar is still for sale. It sounds Awesome and plays great. The case is in very good condition.
This belonged to a Jazz Pianist in Tulsa and he couldn't play it. It was taken excellent care of. It has the Emmons set up with the E's raise and lower, with one of the knees on right lowering string 2 and 9. The other knee raises string 1 and string 2. It's a very nice change on that pedal used by John Hughey and Paul Franklin.
This Steel will be sold to first come first serve. Great buy for those who are only E9th players.
Thanks!

What Year?
Do you know what year the guitar was made. I have a 74 MSA Classic that plays great but still heavy for a s-10. Was hoping to move up to a newer guitar and something lighter. What does the guitar weigh? What kind of case does it have.
Thanks

Hi Tommy Christian,
I weighed the MSA single 10 in the factory case tonight. She weighs exactly 56 pounds in the case.
The case is in real good condition. This is a Wood body Steel Guitar.
Next, I had David Wright check the MSA serial numbers on her and her birthdate was during May 1981.
This is a Great playing and sounding Steel Guitar.
The floor pedals are 123 or ABC set up with:
Pedal 1 Raise pulling strings 5 and 10 from B to C#
Pedal 2 Raise pulling strings 3 and 6 from G# to A
Pedal 3 Raise pulling strings 4 and 5. String 4 E to F# and string 5 B to C#
LKL lever raises strings 4 and 8, from E to F
LKR lever lowers strings 4 and 8, from E - Eb
RKL lever raises strings 1 and 2, String 1 from F# - G, and raises string 2 from Eb - E
RKR lever lowers strings 2 and 9, String 2 Eb - Db and string 9 D - C
Anymore questions contact me.
Thanks!

Just too heavy!
Terry, really appreciate the notes on the guitar and I don’t want to lead you on but the guitar is way to heavy for me. I mentioned in an earlier post I was looking for something lighter. I too knew Reece, actually was his student many years ago in Dallas and to this day think he was the best there was! Your guitar is gorgeous and will make someone very happy. Just not me.
All the best to you.

clean as a whistle and the price is right... These are some of the best built pedal steel guitars ever made.. They are bulletproof, and will outlast anyone that buys one, and will STILL be mechanically solid when that time comes... Parts availability is terrific, they are easy to work on, and these lacquer built MSA guitars have beautiful sound, and great sustain, IMHO they were a huge step up from the earlier mica body MSA Classic guitars.. I would take this guitar over even the very best "entry level" steel guitars on the market in a heartbeat... take it from someone that always had an MSA or 2 in the stable. They will take whatever you can dish out, and take it for decades, and still look and sound great doing it. Was never a big fan of the SS humbucker, but thats remedied in mere minutes. If I were in the market, this gorgeous guitar would have been gone when I first saw it/..... bob
I'm over the hill and hittin'rocks on the way down!
no gear list for me.. you don't have the time......

I AGREE WITH BOB CARLUCCI. I HAD A D-1O THAT I CARRIED ALL OVER THE COUNTRY, RAIN, SNOW, HEAT OR WHATEVER AND IT WAS ALL WAYS IN TUNE AS YOU COULD GET. GREAT GUITAR, BUILT LIKE A SHERMAN TANK. PLAYED MANY A GIG WITH IT. AND IT WAS RED JUST LIKE THIS ONE. ONE INCH THICK NECK. SUPER SUSTAIN 11. GOOD LUCK TERRY, J.R. ROSE
Black Performance SD-10, 2002. Peavey LTD 400 with 15" Eminence EPS 15-C, Sho-Bud Seat, Goodrich L-120 Pedal, Sho-Bud Bar, Picks, Cords. Nothing else.

Thanks Bob Carlucci and J R Rose for your comments regarding this Steel Guitar.
First this is really a Great MSA Supersustain II Steel. It will make someone a wonderful Steel.
Here are some facts about this steel guitar. I bought this MSA from a Jazz Piano player in Tulsa OK who had it for several years. He couldn't play it. He kept all of his musical equipment using only the best of care. His house had correct temperature and humidifiers, etc.
Next I bought the Steel Guitar for resale only. I have three other Steels so I'm not going to play it and I'm not trading or coming down on the price. $2200 plus shipping is more than a fair price for this Steel.
When I got back from Oklahoma, I put New strings on it and it stays in tune perfect and plays smoothly. Again it's far better instrument and much better priced than many other steels I've seen.
First come first serve on this Steel Guitar! Call or text if your really interested it. Leave a message if you call. I get scammer calls all the time. Leave me a brief message and I'll return your call or answer the text. Here's my number 417-241-9455
Thanks!
