Archive of Mickey D Tabs

Post by Dave Dube »

I have uploaded the Mickey D Tabs and clips zip file and linked them on the PSGBeginner site, so that they will have a home for the foreseeable future.

(See: http://dhdube.wix.com/psgbeginner/tablature )

I tested with Chrome and Internet Explorer. I find that Google drive, which is where I host Zip files, can't scan the zip owing to the size of the file, and gives a message to that effect, however it does offer a download button, which is functioning. The file is the same file offered in this thread.

It is quick and dirty but addresses the short term availability of the file.

Thanks to Charles Stange for his efforts to preserve the files.

Mick Deacy 'Alfie'

Post by Alan Bidmade »

I found Dave Dube's Zip files but am defeated by the technology.
Can anyone help. I'd love to replace my lost copy of Alfie for E9. I can send my email address or postal address for a paper copy, whichever suits. I'll refund any postage costs and will make a donation to the Forum.
Here's hoping...

It would be great if the WeTransfer link is posted again.
Would love to have the collection.

My heart hurt a bit seeing Steve Takacs’s name. Some of his posts from China were a real hoot.

RIP, brother.

Downloading Mickey D's Tabs

Post by Dave Dube »

I just noticed that Alan had trouble getting the tabs. Better late than never.

When you click on the link on the site, it goes to a Google Drive. It will tell you it can't preview
because the file is too large (133MB). That's OK. Just click download.
Then it will protest that it can't scan for virus. Click "Download Anyway"

(If Google can't keep their site clean we may as well just give up anyway. The version that I put there was scanned and clean, so I sincerely doubt it is infected now>)

Your browser will save the file to a location on your computer. Take it and extract it with a zip utility.

The collection also includes the original sound files.

I hope this helps.

For my part you are welcome Wayne, but the lion's share should go to Mickey who did the work and to Steve who preserved it. Both of these outstanding guys are now gone on but their contributions to this community live on in their posts and their projects such as this. They are missed.

Brilliant! Thanks to Dave and all who have worked so hard to preserve these unique tabs. I am hugely grateful.
