Robert Gordon Rockabilly singer died at 75.

Post by Olaf van Roggen »

Robert Gordon was known for his Rockabilly songs with Link Wray but he got me into listening to Pedal steel.
He had a huge hit in Europe with the song "Red Hot"

I had his records in my teens and he recorded the song "Crazy man crazy" with Bobby Black on steel.

I really loved it and the next step for me was Commander Cody and his LPA because of Bobby Black.
That's how my love for pedal steel started.

He later recorded "Standing on the outside of her door with Lloyd Green

May he rest in peace.

Some great music with Robert and Danny Gatton. Red Hot was my favorite to sing and a crowd pleaser. Remarkable artist. RIP Robert Rockabilly Gordon.
