PEDAL and LAP STEELS at AUCTION SAT. NOV. 19, 2022

Post by Doug Long »

I just turned 78, so I am finally giving up trying to master a musical instrument.
I will be auctioning off my entire 400+ collection on Sat. Nov. 19, 2022 at https://bid.ableauctions.ca/auction.aspx?as=84705

There are several vintage Steels in excellent to Mint condition including a MSA D12 Pedal Steel and a Fender Stringmaster Quad Lap Steel. Search the Auction with "Steel" to find them all.

This is an ONLINE-ONLY, NO-RESERVE auction, in $CDN, so you might steal a steel.

PAKMAIL (in Surrey, BC) will pick up, pack securely and mail or ship worldwide, by whichever method you requests. They are specialists in handling fragile goods and do a lot of pickups for Able Auctions. https://www.pakmailcanada.com/surrey

Auction Date: Sat. Nov. 19, 2022. You must register two days in advance to Bid.

Some mighty nice, mighty cheap 5 string banjos in there, including a Gibson Mastertone currently bid at $800. that's a steal for those that care for such things.

It’s an auction, with 8 days to go. $800 now doesn’t really mean anything

Are taxes and shipping charges extra?

“17% Buyers Premium plus GST 5% and PST 7% is charged on top of your bid price “

Better read the fine print

Since the forum is being used to steer people to the auction, is the forum going to get their cut?
Use of the Classified Ads section to drive traffic to ads on other sites (e.g. EBay, Reverb, Craigslist, etc.) is subject to a 2.5% finders fee if the auctioned item is bought by a Forum member.

Hi Doug - I've been watching the auction since it launched, and will be bidding on a few of the lap steels, as well as the Hipshot BGE Bender.

What tuning do you have on the Fouke?

Thanks,
CD
