So its all starting to make sense finally.
Buddy needs to be credited for more than just pockets but approaching jazz lines from a steel perspective as to what the instrument is capable of.
My goodness. After just scratching the surface on his pockets. This is so far what I've learnt.

Was going to ask why the b6 and b9 ?
b6 - is it because he also sees a b6 in a standard move chorally or is it merely used for connecting his soloing pockets.
Same question for a b9
Which Sam Conomo messaged me and said hey that's the 5th mode of the harmonic minor scale.
Wait what? Dammit back to learning scales again. Haven't even gotten to harmonic minor yet. Loooong way to go.

Re: e13b9 tuning
Much appreciated Raymond. Tuning was altered over 10 years to finally arrive at the E13#9/F. Still long way from where I want to be but realised understanding music/intervals and where to find things is more important than simply playing songs.Raymond Craig wrote:Stefan I just watched your video on this tuning your 12 string and I thought it really lent itself well to possible close chords nicely done thanks
I learn more through theory then apply to different things. Long path but once I understand and have the mind and fingers taught then songs/genre open up all over the neck.
