Right Index Finger

Post by Sonny Jenkins »

I wonder how many, if any steel player have lost, or lost the use of their right index finger? I'm probably going to lose mine at some point soon,,I know some play with 3 fingers already,,but I figure I'll just try to learn to use middle and ring instead of index and middle. I think Bobbe Seymour was missing some fingers or had some kind of hand issues that he worked around??,,not sure.

Bobbe had some problems with his left hand after a saw accident, I believe.

Hi Sonny,
There are a lot of players that use the first finger and thumb to play. Joe Wright uses a pick on his third finger.
Not all is lost, just a new learning technique. You can do it! :D :D :D
Just north of the Weird place, south of Georgetown
