Rick... Looks like you have a great show going here... A few years back, Fred Justice and Ray Qualls set me up to play Baxter Springs. Everyone was very kind to this Nebraska steeler... It was a new start for me... Never forget it... I would love to come back down to the nicest show around, but can't do it... Thanks to the KSGA and all the great friends I made for the memories..
Dick!
PS
Glad to see Joe Naylor is playing. Way to go pard!!

Dick, so kind of you for your wonderful comments. We are hoping for a great turnout this year. Lee has put a lot of effort in putting this show together this year. Maybe see you next time.

I sure look forward to being there on Friday. I have never got to meet Lary Baker but look forward to hearing him play as well. Another Facebook friend I will get to meet is Barb Mattox will be there as well. And of course one of the steel guitars supporters Rhonda Lindsay will be there again. I got to meet her last year and look forward to seeing many friends and making new friends.

Paul King, don't get too excited by meeting me, I hate to disappoint people. I'm sure Rhonda already has her front seat reserved. She is a great Steel supporter

Larry, I listen to players of all levels play. Meeting them is even better. Yes, Rhonda sits on the front and gets a lot of video. She is definitely a great supporter of steel guitar.

Well I'm not able to make this year's show and it's a real bummer. Things have gotten out of hand at home and my ability to get everything done was overestimated. Looks like a great line up and a wonderful show. I hope to see everyone down the road.

That's great to hear a next year show. I will be sure to attend. Missing this year was a tough decision and it won't happen again. Missed seeing all my favorite players and friends. I especially like Joe Naylor for his excellent MC duties. Thanks Joe. And thanks to Lee for putting in the work to make it happen. Rhonda posted some videos and I can see my drummer buddy Larry Jackson taking the hide off those skins. Larry King, Mike McGee on Bass, looks like Johnny Rose on Guitar and Floyd? Anyway, super band and crew. I miss you all.

I’m just up the road at Pittsburg at The Dirty Mule tonight (Saturday) with Whiskey River Band if anyone wants to come dancing and stay up late. Come holler if you do…. Otherwise we’ll see everyone in the morning.

Wanted to add that I had such a good time at the KSGA show. This was only my second time but once again, the players were fantastic. Anytime I can be around steel guitar playing, wonderful singing and so many friendly people, it just makes my day. Thanks so much Lee, all the players and back up band and especially all the ladies that worked all weekend in the kitchen keeping our stomachs full. As Larry mentioned, I’ve posted lots of videos on my facebook page and have more to go. Hope you enjoy them.

Ksga show

Post by Michael Beasley »

Was a lot of fun playing, singing seeing old friends and meeting new ones. My mother’s 98th birthday was one of her highlights of her life. She was either visiting with people or listening to music. Thanks Rick Eaves for pulling all the power out of Baxter Springs. Lol The power outage was an hour. Rick that steel had to be hot. Lee thanks again for everything. You and all your helpers did a great job.

My thanks to Lee and all the KSGA staff their hard work and for the invitation to play the show. I only got to be there Friday, but it was great to see and visit with so many dear friends. Thanks to Jeff Culver, Larry King, Larry Jackson, and Johnny Rose for playing so great backing me up. Glad to hear that there will be a show next year!

I just wanted to chime in and thank Lee Ogle and the KSGA for inviting me to play again this year. This is always a great show and is a great steel guitar association. Thanks to the band for the super job backing me. I had a ball!

I echo what others are saying. Thanks to Lee for having me this year, and thanks to all who support the show, and of
course thanks to the ladies in the kitchen.
