Kayla and I went to see Gene Watson and McBride and The Ride last night. Boo Miller was with Gene and Bruce Bouton with McBride. It was a great show. Both steel players played great. Bruce played a Emmons push pull through a Fender Twin. I couldn't hear him in the mix very well thouh.
I want to say a few extra words about Al Boo Miller. He played exceptionally well. Boo played the Watson gig the way it should be. He is a great fit for Gene. His tone was superb. He was playing a new Emmons Resound65 through a Quilter TT12 with no outboard effects. Though I wish he had been hotter in the mix he still was able to cut through the rythm section which is difficult with these modern sound engineers. Congratulations Boo on your new gig and gear. You wear them both well.

Bruce was filling in for Gary Morse onstage with McBride & The Ride because Gary also tours with Brooks & Dunn-Gary is with McBride & The Ride if Brooks & Dunn aren't playing shows. Boo Miller, who now plays steel with Gene Watson played his Emmons ReSound '65 with Gene at the Opry because the Emmons Guitar Co. brought it to the Opry for him to play.
