Emmons designation for an SD was ‘DST’ (Double Single Ten). Here’s mine.. bought new in 1979 (from Sam Ash Music) number 2659 DST.
I’m not sure what ST is, unless it’s a single 10 without a pad?

Edit to add: my '74 Emmons D 10 is 2157 D, so I have no idea what their numbering system was. I was thinking the double body end plates (Ds and DSTs) used 1 system, and the singles used another, but that would mean they only built 502 steels over the 5 year period? Possible... I guess.

I can tell you from the pedals it is an early 80's model. The serial numbers are sketchy for dating them, but the year really doest affect the value or features.

J.R.,

I restored that guitar a while ago and traded it for Buddy Pearson's LLG III. I believe it's an '81, according to my records.
