Asher universal steel stands now available!

Post by Peter Krebs »

Howdy folks. No connection with this, but I did get an email yesterday from Asher that their universal lap steel stands were available again in limited numbers. The design is similar to the Deluxe 34 stands which were available a few years back. Cheers.

It says "sold out" on their website, but it's good to know that somebody's making them.

Yeah, I saw that. Maybe they just haven’t updated their website yet. I signed up for the notification from Asher to let me know once they were available again, and received that yesterday. Just spreading the word.

Do the Ashers supply custom brackets such as Mark used to fabricate in Wisconsin?

Thanks, Brad; I'll give it another shot. Previous inquiries to Asher have not elicited a response. It won't hurt to try again.

I got the notice too and when I first checked they were listed but now they are shown as out of stock. I suppose they could have sold out that quickly, especially if they didn’t get that many in.

Hello everyone!

Please bear with us while we sort out supply issues with the Asher Universal Stand. The stand is much more in demand than we ever anticipated! The last batch sold out in under an hour!

Asher Guitars is a very small family company who is dedicated to providing quality lap steels, guitars, and accessories to the musical community. We appreciate everyone's support and hope to have ample stands in stock in the near future.

Bill didn’t address the question regarding any custom work on the stands, but I would be extremely surprised if that were a possibility. The man (and his small crew) are up to their necks in building new guitars and lap steels.

Answer regarding custom brackets

Post by Bill Asher »

Hi All,
To answer your question about custom brackets, right now we are focused on working out production kinks on the Universal Stand - once we get that sorted out we may be open to possible custom brackets. But before I say for certain, we need to tackle one thing at a time! ;-)

Makes sense. If we signed up for an email notice before they were in then out of stock do we need to sign up again? Of does the earlier signup carry over?

i would send a fresh inquiry.

Ron,
I would send a fresh request. The email notices for back stock are deleted once they have been replied to, so if you weren't able to get one the last time, please put in a new request.
