Nameless shuffle, vocal version, backing track?

Post by steinar »

Has anybody made a backing track for the vocal version of Nameless Shuffle, - where Laney comes in after Buddy has played the opening verse?

Nameless shuffle

Operation Russless sold/sells the dvd, but no backing tracks, to the best of my knowledge. (I`d love to be corrected!"

"Operation Russless" was originally a release of the album sans steel guitar, a promotional contest for steelers to track over and submit to Russ and Laney. The all-star CD was the result of a spoof by Randy Beavers and other friends of Russ. I'm certain the steel-free tracks are still available.

The best I remember, "Nameless Shuffle" was not on the Russless CD nor was it part of the "spoof"

Of course I could be wrong and many times I am.

Lloyd Green was indeed part of the original spoof, submitting his version of "Nameless Shuffle" as 13-year-old "Alma McCoy" which was included in the copy of the CD that I received.

There is a version of operation Russless where you do the steel tracks. Nameless Shuffle is included on that. PM me if you need for information

Also Alma McCoy was the name of Lloyd's first steel teacher I believe.

The Laney CD 'Matters of the Heart' has this song as 'A Love Like This'. There was a version of the CD without any steel.
