1995 custom lacquer pre RP Mullen 8 & 7

Post by Patrick Huey »

due to unforeseen circumstances and two kids in college it breaks my heart but putting my Mullen up for sale. Built for Junior Knight it is red and blonde lacquer full polish package Emmons standard E9 front neck C6 back w/ seven knee levers, George L 10-1 on back neck Lawrence 705 on front. It is a tone monster and mechanics are literally butter smooth. It is definitely absolutely one of a kind. Has usual wear and such for a lacquer steel of its age but it’s the easiest playing steel I have ever seen.

Patrick I'm shocked and sorry all at the same time. Sorry you feel you need to sell this guitar. Always thought it was really pretty.

Gilbert, I have two Pre-RP's, and they both sound great, and are very easy/smooth to play. As they say "they play like butter". They're also easy to work on, and most replacement parts can be purchased from Mullen.

I know there’s a picture of the undercarriage but I can’t really see the configuration of the levers for the left knee on C6. Is that a vertical knee?
Very interested in this guitar.
