Post by Gerald Guy »

I purchase a old Bob Simmons steel it has lowering the E's on the LkR Im used to lowering my E's on my RkL
Moving the knee lever is not a problem what I dont understand as of yet is the method Mr Bob use to make this work?
I hope some one can point me in the right direction on how to do this.
PS I did the same mod on a Mullen discovery it worked out great..

Your Simmons is a pull reliese not all pull the E's are both lowered and raised so the E is achieved by a spring under tention to lower the E's the leaver compresses the spring which lets the string drop in pitch when the E's are raised to F the e drop leaver will move backwards and in reverce order E's drop F leaver moves to follow. You can call Bob and he can explain better than I.
Bob Simmons (205) 234-9325 he knows more about it than anyone.

Good luck Barry
