Thank you!

Spent a couple of hours with Alan Akaka today, who took this one away for himself as well as one for his most promising student.

I'm looking at going to the HSGA Festival in three weeks - maybe I'll see some of you there.

This review of the 8 string short scale pictured above, and a demo that I gifted to his school, came in from Alan Akaka this morning:

"Aloha Kevin,

I had a fabulous time at the Aloha International Steel Guitar Club convention. Your lap steels sounded great. The feel and tone were very good. I enjoyed the fullness of tone playing off of both a Yamaha THR30 and Roland Micro Cube. I found the steel easy to play. The steel guitarists loved the tone and appearance; the president of the AISGC played on both and he was impressed; he remarked that he could get the same tone as mine when he played it.

aloha

Alan Akaka"
