Post by Patrick Timmins »

New pedal steel compilation album coming out. May not be everyone's cup of tea, but I am eagerly awaiting my delivery.

Luke Schneider Presents Imaginational Anthem vol. XI : Chrome Universal - A Survey of Modern Pedal Steel
by Various Artists.

More than a few forum members on the album.

First track is from BJ Cole and is available to listen to now.

Here is the track listing:

1.BJ Cole - Ely Revisited 06:17
2.Jonny Lam - Rainbows Across the Valley
3.Rocco DeLuca - Many Singing Softly
4.Luke Schneider - Yosemite
5.Spencer Cullum - An Ode to Dungeness
6.Barry Walker Jr. - I Will Tread Upon the Lion and the Cobra
7.Susan Alcorn - Gilmor Blue
8.Maggie Bjorklund - Lysglimt
9.Will Van Horn - Attwater

I prefer to support artists by buying through Bandcamp if possible so the artists get most of the money. Bandcamp only charges 10% on merch.

I admittedly don't know the other artists but I'm big fan of the album Will Van Horn put out a few years back. Looking forward to hearing this album. Thanks for sharing!

Just got the tape today. :D
Family is just chilling listening to it on a hot lazy Saturday.
Very enjoyable ambient/experimental pedal steel. The liner notes tell what guitar is being used on each track. Very cool.

If you are at all into Brian Eno's ambient stuff, Daniel Lanois' steel playing, Chuck Johnson or Luke Schneiders last album, you're going to like this.
