Wallace TT-10 wide mount
Curious about these True Tone pick ups and like to give one a shot. Must be a wide mount. Thanks!

If you succeed in cheating someone, don't think that the person is a fool. It's just that the person trusted you far more than you deserved.

I am getting a Clay Alden single coil in my new guitar. He is regarded as top notch maker of single coil pickups and will wind one to whatever ohms you specify. The link goes to a post from Derek Puckett, the main craftsman currently involved in making the very fine Rittenberry guitars.
You might also look here: https://www.steeltronics.com/product/ce ... tar-pickup to satisfy that itch. It is wide mount and you can also get a custom winding here too.
Wallace is no longer with us, so his pickups are scarce and might only be available from someone willing to sell theirs. I did see a link to order one on the Williams steel guitar website. You could contact them and ask whether they have one.

I appreciate the in in depth response! I’ll look into Clay Alden. Willams is currently out of stock, which is how I found out able Jerry Wallace’s passing.Michael Rademacher wrote:Also look here: https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtop ... clay+alden

Tim, glad to help out! FYI, I have heard somewhere that Clay Alden pickups will be used in the new Emmons ReSound65 line. The Emmons website does not say who is making their pickups but they do say they will be wound to 15K ohms, like many of the old Emmons and Sho-buds were. Also, I noticed that MSA has dropped the Wallace TT from its lineup of interchangeable pickups and replaced it with a Clay Alden single coil. So, bottom line is, if Emmons and MSA are using Clay Alden pickups in their guitars they must be really good! I can't wait to get my new guitar and try it out. Mine will be wound to 15K also. If I don't like it, I can send it back for a rewind to whatever spec I want so I am sure I will be a happy camper no matter what.
I have also learned from searching this forum that many players like the steeltronics single coil a lot, too. Take yer pick, can't go wrong either way from all I have seen.
