MSA S10 Vintage XL (Sold)

Post by Chris Caruso »

MSA Vintage XL
10 string E9th tuning 4 pedals 5 knee levers. Stays in tune Could use new strings. For some reason one pedal is black. There are no extra holes under this guitar. I got it in a trade. The guitar has not been cannibalized. The pedal rack is a reflection from my floor. It's actually pretty clean. I will include a set of strings
Includes original case. Ernie ball Volume Pedal
Beautiful green finish
$2200 or B/O

Very nice indeed.
Truly great guitar at a reasonable price.. There is really not too much available in the listed price range in this day and age , and just about nothing of this quality at that price . This guitar will last a lifetime..

MSA Classic guitars just don't wear out.. They are pretty much bulletproof .

The black pedal might have been added on at some point. Some MSA guitars came with black pedals, others just plain aluminum.
In any case, this is a great pedal steel and the price is more than fair..... bob

Chris,, just a thought.. I traded an MSA Classic not near as nice as yours for a one year old Martin D28 Herringbone a few years back... There are guys that will swap a $2000+ guitar straight across for a $2000+ pedal steel... Done it more than once myself both ways- guitar for steel or steel for guitar..
Post it in a few Craigslist cities, and see if you get any bites.. i always did.... bob

I contacted Kyle at MSA today and he was kind enough to give me the manufacture date.
Response
Our records indicate that MSA serial number 1C6973 was manufactured on November 1, 1980.
