I Take the Chance- Emmylou H & Carl Jackson Duet- Steeler?

Post by John Haspert »

I stumbled on this track and it is a good one. Does anyone know whom played the Pedal Steel on this studio cut? At first, I was going to guess Al Perkins, but not sure on that one,

If it's this recording: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSQGrIJenl4
from the CD "Sundown [UK] CDSD-0744 Nashville Country Duets" by Carl Jackson, allmusic.com says it was Bruce Bouton on steel.

Thanks for the reply. It does sound like Bruce. Apparently this track has been released several times, but I could not find the musician credits. Bruce is one of my favorite players, both because of his work with Ricky and Garth. I was at his induction to the Musician’s Hall of Fame. He is such a great musician and approachable.
