Firstly, I can't get the raise to go up to B; at a certain point, the open string starts going sharp.

Is this due to its position on either the bell-crank or in the changer?

Secondly, if I want to try raising both Es to F, where on the bell-crank should I be hooking the rod?

I moved the rod further away from the axle on both A-B raises and, miraculously, I can get them both comfortably up to pitch!

It isn't often that I have any success 'under the hood' but this is one of those rare moments. Excuse my temporary euphoria. Smile

I still hate those Emmons retaining clips, though. Today's triumph hasn't changed that. Sad
