ZB in need of restoration

Post by John Ewers »

Image I was hoping to get this ZB doubleneck restored and/or convert it to an SD-10. Who could do that?

I suggest restoring it as the original double 10; I am a preservationist by nature I guess . . .

To add, Kevin restored a friend's D-10 ZB that had been sitting in the case for 20 years.
It was the last or next to last ZB that Zane Beck built in Arkansas before the company was sold.

Greg Jones restored my 69 D-10 when he lived in Kentucky. He’s since moved and I don’t have contact info. Search for him here on the forum. Also he’s on Facebook…or was….

Not sure if he is still doing restorations.

I also have a 68 D-11 that needs refinishing.

Don't know if it's worth shipping to California , but Jim Palenscar at Steel Guitars of North County would do a great job at a reasonable price

Also... Billy Knowles does great work on ZB's

And seriously - if you really like that steel, it's a great do-it-yourself project.
