RIP Jim Wise (husband of Janet Lynn Wise)
I just got word that one of our own passed away last night.
Jim was at almost every steel guitar show supporting Janet and helping at the benevolent booth. He would always have his sidekick, Gibbs, right there with him.
Our prayers go out to Janet and the family.

Janet - it was so heartwarming seeing you and Jim at the Dallas show last month. I’m sure it was so hard for you emotionally, but you shared Jim with us one last time. Jim was right where he belonged, side-by-side with his Leading Lady, greeting everyone approaching the Benevolent table! Always in my heart, I love you, Janet!

Oh no....Such sad news. Jim was a sweet kind man, and was always a pleasure to be around. We had many good times with Jim and Jan at many steel shows. Always proud to call them our friends. The Lords blessing be on Jim, Janet, and the rest of the family. Also Gibbs!

I am very saddened to hear this. I have known James for 55 years. I always looked up to James and used his name often in conversation. When Jan started Steel Guitar it was in my garage with just her and James. I guess I thought he would always be around. Even if I did not see them for years, when we did connect, we were in the hugging mode. I am so sorry Jan, the family will come through. Prayers and sympathy to you and the Family.
P.S. He is the only guy I ever knew that read the World Book Encyclopedia from end to end! What a Guy!

Jim Wise
Janet, Jim was so supportive of you and your passion for our beloved instrument. He always beamed when you played as if it was the first time he heard you play.
I cant even imagine the miles you two have shared playing at the various steel shows all these years. Jim will be missed. Prayers for you love and your family. Love you girl.

My condolences to you Janet
It's been very nice to always see you two at the steel shows. Always a nice chat with both of you. Not gonna be the same without Jim and his big smile and always so caring.

Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg?
