Terry Bethel & Bobby C...Charmane (Hold onto your seat)!!

Post by Neil Lang »

If you have never listened to Terry Bethel and Bobby Caldwell Jam Charmane at the 1997 St. Louis show....you must take a listen....google Utube "Terry Bethel Charmane"! SUPER C6th !!!!

Neil

Thanks Bill, for "linking it up"!

This beautiful old song was originally written in medium slow 3/4 time. What a trip these guys turned that into!!!!
I really, really, really miss these days!
For me...it's a way to Survive! Thank god for videos!

Truly great. I think it was Bobby Garrett that started the trend of improvisation for this song when he did it for Hank Thompson and recorded on the record titled something like “Hank Thompson at the Texas state fair.” As I recall that was circa 1961–1962.

I was seated right in front and the Arkansas boy did a great job. His whole set was very good and Bobby both. I got to play that guitar in Terry's booth after his set. The cross shafts were seated in bearings. It was really a smooth playing guitar.
