So sorry to hear this. I always enjoyed his posts here, and I met him a couple of times at steel conventions. Great sense of humor. He started "Nothing".

My condolences to his family and friends.

Condolences to the family. Always enjoyed Bob's posts. I believe he was in Panther Hall to witness Lloyd Green's legendary performance with Charley Pride.

Found this picture of Bob playing an old MSA of mine. He had just changed it from a Day set up to Emmons. He was putting it through the paces. I am next to him with the Tele. Already missing you my friend.

This is some terribly sad news!!!

Years ago, I did a deal with Bob and wound up with an amazing pedal steel. I’m pretty sure that he really helped me out since I was young and fairly new to pedal steel.

What a great guy he was!!!

Sad to hear about Bob. I can't say that I knew him well, but 20 years or so I put up a post on the forum looking for someone who might be coming to the Dallas show from the Nashville area who could deliver a steel to me. Bob responded right away and graciously agreed to do this, and when in Dallas he took me up to his hotel room where we set the guitar up and had a great visit. I was totally prepared to pay him something for his trouble, but he would not take a dime.

Just "good people", like so many of my fellow forumites. R.I.P. Bob.
