I like the D9 fine with round wounds, but on the C6 ped-a-bro those low strings drag on the bar - meaning substantial bar noise. Personally, I don't mind too much at all, I embrace the imperfections and natural noises they remind me it is music by a person, not a computer. Thinking though of my listeners, I must ask the question, of the small universe of ped-a-bro owners, has anyone tried semi-flats on ped-a-bro? If so, could you share your impressions please?

I'd abandon the low C string and insert a middle D.

I sell the GHS semi-flats from the Forum Catalog, by the way. Give 'em a try!

I'm very happy with my low C. I do raise it to D - in fact I was just using it out on the balcony before I came in. Gonna' go back out in a minute and use it some more.
