John, what is the reason is for a 24" scale? For years I assumed it was 24 1/4. Up until just recently did I discover it was 24" even. No complaints at all with the Carter guitars. A lot of the other builders use 24 1/4, so I just wondered what the advatages are.
Thanks in advance.

Correct me if I am wrong, but it appears to me that a shorter scale will need less tension on the string for a given note.
This would make the pedals/levers easier to push.
I don't know how much difference 1/4" makes in the required tension.

Thanks John and Paul, thats what I thought as well.
We can close this up, as far as I am concerned.
