Hoping to find a collector of vintage banjos. I'm selling a Circa 1929, Bacon and Day Rhythm King 4 or 5 string banjo. Both necks included. I'm asking $400. My father used to own it. It's a beauty. My father was a chrome plater, and he chromed all the nickel parts on the body; this makes it really stand out. The tenor neck has 19 frets, a 23" scale and is ebony on walnut. All parts are original except the head. I replaced the hinges on the original case.
The conversion neck is a Framus 5 string in like new condition. It has an adjustable truss rod and a multi-laminated neck. I installed it (non-destructively) for a while. This gives you the option of playing 5 string or tenor. One more bonus. Also included is an incomplete, Grover tone ring. Thanks, Ron Pruter
